I currently live and work in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, where I run a graphic design business. I have always loved drawing, but it was not until 1999 that I finally embarked on a degree in Fine Art. Alas, drawing and painting were not high on the agenda on degree courses, so I started working in photographic and time-based media - which opened new horizons. However, since completing the degree, I have returned to my first love - real, hands-on drawing and painting.
I admire the work of artists such as Dryden Goodwin and William Kentridge, who combine pure drawing and the moving image - drawings with a time-line. I am always conscious that we owe a huge debt to artists long dead: Leonardo, Rembrandt ... as artists, let’s not forget our heritage.
