People, Pots, Places - Paintings, Printmaking, Pottery, Photographs, not forgetting Pen and Pencil ... ooh, and Pastels
I've always been drawn to people as subject matter. However, I've re-discovered ceramics and using clay as a surface. Work in progress is about landscape and big skies, and marks made by man in these landscapes, such as posts, groynes and other sea defences. Probably something to do with my seaside East Anglian heritage and love of the bleak east coastline, and recent visits to Scotland, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Iceland. (Although, sadly, all these seem like another world at the moment as we're battened down by the Covid19 pandemic.)
I live in Hertfordshire and share a studio at Pressmore Farm near Berkhamsted.
